Dear Colleagues,

Since the first call in early 2018 and thanks to the support and commitment
of many offices, the first group of candidates under the *UNDP-UNV* *Talent
Programme for Young Professionals with Disabilities *has been recruited and
deployed to the following offices and assignments:

•                     UNDP Armenia, Data Analysis Officer (International
UNV)

•                     UNDP Regional Hub Bangkok, RBM and Data Analytics
Officer (International UNV)

•                     UNDP Sri Lanka, Youth Lead (UN Youth Volunteer)

•                     UNDP Ukraine, Communications Officer (National UNV)

The selection of the second group of candidates is ongoing with 11
additional deployments planned for during the first half of 2019 to
Belarus, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, New York, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia
and Zimbabwe.

We are now opening the *second call for applications* and invite country,
regional and HQ offices committed to advance the inclusion of persons with
disabilities in the UNDP workplace and wider development sector to
participate in the Talent Programme and host a young professional with
disabilities.

*To participate in the Programme, please submit a motivation statement and
a placement offer (TOR) for a possible assignment in your office.  We would
also appreciate receiving an overview of your office’s experience in
working with persons with disabilities and an update on accessibility
arrangements. The deadline for applications is 29 March 2019.*

Please note that priority consideration for participation in the Programme
will be given to offices who are willing to fund or co-fund assignments.
Therefore, please indicate in your submission whether your office would be
able to fund or co-fund the assignment. Selected placement offers will also
be presented to our donor partners for funding. Selected professionals with
disabilities will be deployed on a 12-month UN Volunteer assignment
(national or international).

Please note that all participating offices will have access to the dedicated
support from the Programme team in OHR/UNDP and UNV during the selection,
on-boarding, and assignment periods, as well as to the awareness building
initiatives for staff and managers.  Costs related to reasonable
accommodation will also be covered by the Programme.

For more information and specific instructions on the application process,
please see the attached one-pager on the Programme, a detailed guidance
note, a Terms of Reference template, and an accessibility check-list.  In
the coming weeks, we will also host two webinars to present the Talent
Programme to the interested offices and answer any questions (invitations
to follow).
