[PDFlist] Second Notice: Pacific Disability Dialogue

The Pacific Disability Forum is pleased to announce that our general forum under the Tittle: Pacific Disability Dialogue, will take place from October 20–24, 2025,at the Tanoa International Hotel, in Nadi, Fiji.

This important regional gathering aims to bring together representatives from approximately 50 Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) across the Pacific to Nadi, Fiji.

The Dialogue will focus on:


  *
Shaping the PDF Strategy 2026–2030 and Providing input to the Pacific Regional Framework on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, currently under review by the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.


  *
The program will also include a two-day Partner and Donor Dialogue, fostering shared understanding and alignment among OPDs, development partners, and donors.


  *
In addition, one day during the week will be dedicated to internal PDF affairs, which will serve as the general forum itself.

The program for the week is scheduled as follows:
·       Monday (20 October 2025)
o PDF Strategy 2026–2030,  purpose is to socialise and finalize
·       Tuesday (20 October 2025)

        o
Pacific
Framework for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PFRPD),
purpose is for framing and to contribute

·       Wednesday (21 October 2025)
o General Forum (GF), focusing on PDF Internal affairs. (Note: This is For PDF Full Members Only)
·       Thursday (22 October 2025)
o   Partner’s Dialogue
·       Friday (20 October 2025)
o   Donors’ Dialogue
This session will allow member OPDs to engage in governance matters, updates, and strategic discussions specific to PDF. We look forward to your participation in this inclusive and strategic dialogue for advancing the rights and priorities of persons with disabilities in the Pacific.
