Please see below an exciting opportunity to present at the upcoming World
Blindness Summit this September in Brazil.

Also, reminding Pacific based World Blind Union members to start
preparations to participate in this event and the subsequent general
assembly if you have not already; obtaining funding, visas, etc will take a
lot of time and effort. The Pacific region has been under represented in
the World Blind Union for some time, let's not allow this to continue!

Dear colleagues,

The World Blind Union is pleased to invite expressions of interest to
present at the World Blindness Summit, taking place September 1–3, 2025,
immediately followed by the WBU General Assembly on September 4 and 5, in
São Paulo, Brazil.

The Summit is the world’s most internationally representative event for
blind and partially sighted leaders, advocates, and allies. We welcome
proposals for presentations, workshops, or panels that reflect the
diversity of experiences and priorities in our global movement.

Topics may include, but are not limited to:

   - Inclusive education and early intervention
   - Aging and vision loss
   - Accessibility in cities and transportation
   - Political advocacy and international human rights
   - Digital accessibility and assistive technology
   - Employment, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment
   - Disability in humanitarian and emergency contexts
   - Intersectionality, gender, and disability rights

Proposals may be submitted in English, French, or Spanish using the
