Greetings from China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF) !
2022 marks the 100th anniversary Rehabilitation International (hereinafter referred to as "RI"). CDPF feels honored to host the RI Centennial Celebration in Beijing from May 19 to 23, 2023. RI will present RI Centennial Award of Outstanding Contributions to commend individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to or had profound impact on the equal participation and inclusive development of persons with disabilities. By doing this, RI aims to facilitate the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and promote rights protection and inclusive development of persons with disabilities around the globe.
RI, founded in 1922, is a non-governmental international organization committed to protecting rights of persons with disabilities and promoting their inclusive development. RI has member organizations spanning five continents and enjoys special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
A total of 100 winners will be selected from around the world. The winners can be individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to or had profound impact on the equal participation and inclusive development of persons with disabilities. A prize of US$10,000 will be awarded to each winning individual or organization together with a certificate and a medal.
Individual applicants shall have no less than five years of work experience in disability-related fields. Organizational applicants shall be legally registered and have high credibility (see Appendix I for Award Selection Criteria).
Applicants shall follow the attached instructions, and submit the completed application form (see Appendix II), letters of recommendation and other supporting materials to RI-Award at riglobal.org<mailto:RI-Award at riglobal.org> before 24:00 by New York Time on February 28, 2023. Please fix the subject of the mail by “XXX (Name of the applicant (individual or organization) )+ application/inquiry”. Thank you for the cooperation in advance.
