[PDFlist] Invitation: Civil Society Inclusion in Gov't Responses to COVID-19 Virtual Forum

On behalf of the National Democratic Institute, I am pleased to invite you to a regional forum to discuss the inclusion of civil society in the government responses to COVID-19, which will be held on Zoom on August 25, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm (Port Moresby time).

To better understand ways in which CSOs have been involved in the emergency and recovery policies of PIC governments, as well as the challenges CSOs have faced in navigating the pandemic, NDI conducted field and desk research with CSOs and political and civic activists in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. Building upon this work, NDI is hosting this virtual forum with civil society organizations and activists from Pacific Island Countries to discuss these findings and paths forward on the road to recovery from the pandemic.
