To better understand ways in which CSOs have been involved in the emergency and recovery policies of PIC governments, as well as the challenges CSOs have faced in navigating the pandemic, NDI conducted field and desk research with CSOs and political and civic
activists in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. Building upon this work, NDI is hosting this virtual forum with civil society organizations and activists from Pacific Island Countries to
discuss these findings and paths forward on the road to recovery from the pandemic.<br>
