Dear Friends and Colleagues
We take great pleasure in inviting you to the SPEVI virtual conference on 18th to 19th January 2021. SPEVI has a history of delivering informative and engaging conferences that bring together professionals, parents/carers and exhibitors in vision impairment education. The 2021 conference theme is “Celebrating change”, and our keynote speakers, Charlotte Cushman and Emma Bennison, will present their unique educational and disability perspectives.
We are all experiencing a remarkable and challenging period in history. The COVID-19 pandemic is influencing educational practice in the Pacific region and around the globe, requiring us to develop creative and alternative approaches to teaching and learning. SPEVI recognises the enormous efforts of professionals and families in ensuring children with vision impairment continue to receive a quality education. As a gesture of solidarity and support, SPEVI is offering free registration for members, and substantially discounted registration for non-members.
