Dear CSO Executives and representatives,

In preparation for the annual Regional CSO Forum in March 2020, I wish to advise that the CALL FOR APPLICATIONS is now open for Civil Society Organization's (CSOs)  to nominate representatives and submit applications to participate . For more information, kindly find attached the following:

Background

Since 2015, the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat with support from the European Union under the EDF Program convenes the annual Regional CSO Forum to enable civil society and their communities to meet and discuss issues of regional importance for Pacific people and their communities. The CSO Forum also serves as a preparatory workshop for the series of high level dialogues CSOs have with Forum Leaders and Economic Ministers. Next year will be the 6th year of the Regional CSO Forum.

Under the European Union support, full funding is available for CSOs in PAPCP countries (excluding Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and French Polynesia), however CSOs from non PAPCP members countries may apply as self-funded participants. A competitive and robust selection process will be undertaken to select representatives of national, regional and international CSOs working in the region.

Criteria for selection will be based on the following:

-          Understanding of regional level issues and how these align to national level interests;

-          Capacity to coordinate and collaborate with their governments and developments partners in the implementation, monitoring and tracking of key regional priorities.

-          Expertise in gender related and EVAWG policy work.

-          Ability to truly represent a constituent group that is impacted by / or interested in regional policy; and

-          Demonstrated commitment to maximize the opportunity to participate in this event for the benefit of the region / Pacific peoples
Incomplete application forms will not be considered.
