Warm greetings to you from TCI Asia Pacific.

Thank you so much for the kind wishes on the IDA CRPD Forum network.

Angie, thanks a lot for your participation in the Bali Plenary and all the support you gave us. We have cherished your active participation and your contributions in the sessions and in the making of the Bali Declaration, of 2018.

We also want to express many thanks to CBMA for your continuing support to our movement here in Asia-Pacific; and for being a big support to the movement  in the region.


Important outcomes from Bali are:
· - We renamed ourselves as "TCI Asia Pacific", and we will cover the South Asia, South East Asia and Pacific regions.
·
· - We adopted new countries (Maldives, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Fiji, Tonga, East Timor, HongKong) as members.
·
· - As a way of responding to the forthcoming International mental health week, and showing our concern about the medical psychiatric expansion throughout our region, increasing the "global burden of barriers" for us, we adopted the "Bali Declaration".
·
Please find here the Bali Declaration. The Bali Declaration was formally adopted by TCI Asia Pacific on 29th of August in Bali and then, through another participatory process and support from a number of members as well as allies, finally firmed up as attached.
