Dear colleagues,

first of all I would like to congratulate you all for nominating Savina as the new focal point for the APRCEM region for the disability constituency. From the global level we would be more than happy to support Savina's work, starting by sharing our partners contacts from the region in order to build a strong Asia Pacific disability constituency.

I also wanted to share a massage below - apologies for cross-posting. Chris Dekki has previously worked in New York and participated in the post-2015 negotiations on behalf of Children and Youth. He is a great colleague and friend of the disability community. Considering he is now based in Bangkok at ESCAP in the Sustainable Development Secretariat, he will be a good contact for Savina to start conversations with the UN. The event below is an excellent first step of webinars that will be informative and important to shape a dialogue between ESCAP and stakeholders, including persons with disabilities. I would encourage sharing this information widely, participation and engagement in this dialogue.

Again we are more than happy to assist anyway we can.
