Nominations for 2017 UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education now open

On 8 March, International Women’s Day, UNESCO opens the call for nominations for the second edition of the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education.

Funded by the Government of the People’s Republic of China, the Prize<http://en.unesco.org/themes/women-s-and-girls-education/prize> rewards innovative and outstanding projects by individuals, institutions and organizations that are advancing girls’ and women’s education. Laureates receive USD 50,000.
Last year, the Directorate of Early Childhood Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture from the Republic of Indonesia and the Female Students Network Trust from Zimbabwe were recognized for their innovative projects.
Governments of all Member States as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in official partnership with UNESCO can nominate up to three individuals, institutions or organizations. Nominations must be submitted online<http://unesco.org/gwe> in English or French and need to focus on a specific project or programme.
Nominations are assessed by an independent jury of five international experts on the basis of their potential for impact, innovation and sustainability. Projects must have been running for at least two years, have the potential to be replicable, scalable and/or provide significant learning potential for other initiatives. They must also contribute to one or more of the five priority areas of the prize. Self-nominations are not accepted. Interested candidates should contact the National Commission for UNESCO of their country, or an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO.
All nominations must be submitted online by 5 May 2017 (midnight, Paris time) at this link<http://unesco.org/gwe>, only accessible to UNESCO Member States and NGOs in official partnership. The two laureates will be announced by the Director-General in September 2017.

Ouverture des candidatures pour l’édition 2017 du Prix UNESCO pour l’éducation des filles et des femmes

Le 8 mars, Journée internationale de la femme, l’UNESCO lance l’appel à candidatures pour la deuxième édition du Prix UNESCO pour l’éducation des filles et des femmes. Financé par le Gouvernement de la République populaire de Chine.
Le Prix<http://fr.unesco.org/themes/leducation-filles-femmes/prix> récompense des projets remarquables et innovants menés par des individus, des institutions et des organisations en faveur de l’éducation des filles et des femmes. Les lauréats reçoivent un montant de 50 000 dollars chacun.
L’année dernière, la Direction de l’éducation de la petite enfance du Ministère de l’éducation de la République d’Indonésie et le Female Students Network Trust (Réseau des étudiantes) du Zimbabwe ont été récompensés pour leurs projets innovants.
Les gouvernements de tous les États membres ainsi que les organisations non gouvernementales (ONG) en partenariat officiel avec l’UNESCO peuvent désigner jusqu’à trois personnes, institutions ou organisations. Les candidatures doivent être soumises en ligne<http://unesco.org/gwe> en anglais ou en français et doivent porter sur un projet ou un programme spécifique.
Les candidatures sont évaluées par un jury indépendant composé de cinq experts internationaux, sur la base de leur potentiel d’impact, d’innovation et de durabilité. Les projets doivent exister depuis au moins deux ans, être facilement reproductibles, évolutifs et/ou présenter d’importantes possibilités d’apprentissage pour d’autres initiatives. Ils doivent également contribuer à un ou plusieurs des cinq domaines prioritaires du prix. Les candidatures spontanées ne sont pas acceptées. Les candidats intéressés doivent contacter la Commission nationale de leur pays pour l’UNESCO ou une ONG en partenariat officiel avec l’UNESCO.

Ya está abierta la convocatoria para recepción de candidaturas para el Premio UNESCO 2017 de educación de las niñas y las mujeres
El 8 de marzo, en el Día Internacional de la Mujer, la UNESCO abrió la recepción de candidaturas para la segunda edición del Premio UNESCO 2017 de educación de las niñas y las mujeres.

Financiado por la República Popular China, el Premio<http://es.unesco.org/themes/educacion-ninas-y-mujeres/premio> honra los proyectos innovadores y sobresalientes que han realizado particulares, instituciones y organizaciones para fomentar la educación de niñas y mujeres. Cada galardonado recibirá un monto de 50.000 dólares estadounidenses.
En la edición 2016 del Premio, fueron galardonados por sus proyectos innovadores el Directorio de Desarrollo de la Educación de la Primera Infancia de Indonesia y el Fondo Fiducidario de la Red de Alumnas de Zimbabwe.
Los gobiernos de los Estados Miembros, así como las organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) que colaboran oficialmente con la UNESCO pueden designar hasta tres candidaturas como máximo de particulares, instituciones u organizaciones. Los proyectos deben existir, por lo mínimo, desde hace dos años, ser fácilmente retomados, ampliables y/o ofrecer grandes posibilidades de aprendizaje para otras iniciativas. También deben aportar contribuciones en uno o varios de los ámbitos prioritarios designados por el Premio. No se aceptarán candidaturas espontáneas. Los candidatos interesados deben ponerse en contacto con la Comisión Nacional para la UNESCO en su país o una Organización No Gubernamental (ONG) que colabore con la Organización.
