The GIRL Center released a new brief that highlights emerging results from the Population Council's rigorous impact evaluations-all of which tested multi-component programs for girls. Evidence from nine studies that include more than 50,000 adolescents across Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia indicates that empowerment and interventions that bolster girls' skills and financial literacy can improve girls' education, health, and economic outcomes, increase their social capital, and decrease violence.
