We are pleased to invite you to the side event "Women, Gender Equality, and Climate Change in Asia and the Pacific" which will take place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
The event will be held on 18 May 2023, from 12:45 to 13:45, BKK time, online.
The side event is co-organized by ESCAP, UNFPA, Asia-Pacific Regional Office, and the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Affairs, Maldives.
It focuses on the unique challenges and opportunities due to climate change faced by women and girls in Asia and the Pacific. Member States, non-government stakeholders and United Nations entities will share knowledge, identify challenges and best practices for gender-responsive climate action.
