<p class="MsoNormal">We are pleased to invite you to the side event "<b>Women, Gender Equality, and Climate Change in Asia and the Pacific</b>" which will take place on the sidelines of the 79<sup>th</sup> session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia
and the Pacific. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The event will be held on <b><u>18 May 2023, from 12:45 to 13:45, BKK time, online</u></b><u>.</u><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The side event is co-organized by ESCAP, UNFPA, Asia-Pacific Regional Office, and the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Affairs, Maldives.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">It focuses on the unique challenges and opportunities due to climate change faced by women and girls in Asia and the Pacific. Member States, non-government stakeholders and United Nations entities will share knowledge,
identify challenges and best practices for gender-responsive climate action.<o:p></o:p></p>
