Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On 16-17 March a Global Disability and Social Protection Conference; Disability - Social protection - Inclusion - Dialogue for change<https://socialprotection.org/disability-social-protection-inclusion-dialogue-change> will be held on the socialprotection .org<socialprotection.org> platform.

The aim of the conference is to advance and accelerate the work that we have all been involved in, particularly over the past 2 years, on ensuring that persons with disability can access inclusive and adequate social protection coverage, and that their views and experience are central in shaping the process.

This invitation is for the Pacific regional consultation to be held on Wednesday 9 March 12noon Suva time, 11am Canberra time.

In the lead up to the global conference, regional consultations are being undertaken to hear from the disability community and other key partners and stakeholders, such as yourselves, on what more needs to be done to realise universal social protection coverage for persons with disability.
The Pacific event is co-hosted by DFAT and Pacific Disability Forum (PDF)

Most of us will be in listening mode for this event, however we want to know what opportunities, gaps and barriers you are seeing in your work contexts too.
As we have a tightly packed agenda I ask you to email me in advance if you have any questions or key points that you would like to raise or like considered in the statement that will be presented at the global conference on 16 March - The statement will provide a stocktake on where we are at and where to next for the Pacific.
