Bula PDF Full and Associate Members!
Firstly, we thank those members who have already completed and submitted their survey last week or even yesterday. Members who have not had a chance to respond are from American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji (only FDPF have responded), FSM, Guam, Kiribati, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Tahiti, Timor Leste, Tuvalu as well as Wallis and Fatuna.
As we are very interested to learn from all of you as members of PDF about what the Pacific DPO Fund review should focus on, we have extended the deadline for this survey to tomorrow, Wednesday 17 June 2020. If you prefer to speak with Christina Parasyn directly about this review, please contact her on cparasyn at gmail.com<mailto:cparasyn at gmail.com>.
PDF invites you to help shape the focus and scope of the review of the Pacific DPO Fund by completing this 10-minute online survey by this Wednesday 17 June 2020. Please press this link to access the survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6J9MSNN> (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6J9MSNN).
Accessibility: the survey tool has been tested for screen reader accessibility, but we are ready to make the survey available in more accessible versions as needed. Please see attached word version of the survey or contact Christina Parasyn on cparasyn at gmail.com<mailto:cparasyn at gmail.com> to discuss other options.
About the Pacific DPO Fund and the review:
PDF has managed and administered the Pacific DPO Fund since 2009 through the generous funding assistance of the Governments of Australia and New Zealand as well as Australia-Pacific Islands Disability Support (APIDS). This funding stream focuses on "improving the lives of persons with disability by supporting the organisational development and project work of Pacific Disabled Persons Organisations (DPOs").
In 2020, the DPO Fund Committee with the endorsement of the PDF Board commissioned a review which will be carried out between June to September 2020. Christina Parasyn, Independent Consultant, will undertake the review in consultation with the community of stakeholders who have been, are now, or could in future be involved in the Pacific DPO Fund in some way. This survey will feed into Stage 1 of the review, Setting the focus and Scope, which aims to find out from you what you would like to learn from the review.
We value cultural and traditional ways of communicating and had planned for the review to allow us to meet face to face to share stories, experiences, and views. Unfortunately, the global pandemic is forcing us to work in more remote ways, which means the review needs to be done remotely for the safety and health of all of us. This may include surveys, phone calls, video, and text applications. We will look for ways to have direct dialogue with you if this is your preference.
For more information about the Fund, please see the Pacific DPO Fund Guidelines on the PDF Website<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=http%3a%2f%2fwww.pacificdisability.org%2fMembers%2fFunding.aspx&c=E,1,C2XqiWaEgfpNM71NN9KnB6NvWA6hMAQBHB_BWZg6zGEIC3EYd1p9o8r179utU4J5SDCtlZ2u14PH9ZGMAbhEX2NPTEWDPJIx8NFz4jIPU54,&typo=1>. For more information about the review and how your information will be used, please see the Review Brief attached.
Thank you and we look forward to reviewing the Fund with you.
Sincerely
Seta
