First and foremost, you would have received by now the sad news of the unexpected and sudden death of our colleague, fellow advocate, great champion, a brillian mind with a never-say-die attitude; Joshco Wakaniyasi. We will surely miss him!

To the subject of this email, I write to inform that our Member Satisfaction survey is closing this Friday, 24 March 2023. The update given below was from last Friday and nothing has changed to date:

  1.  Total survey responses stand at 32 out of 70. This is still less than 50% or half of our total membership.
  2.  24 Full Members out of 40 have responded. This is 60% response rate.
  3.  8 Associate Members out of 30 have responded or 26.7% response rate.
  4.  By Country, responses are: Australia 7, East Timor 1, FSM Pohnpei 1, Cook Islands 1, Fiji 3, Kiribati 2, New Caledonia 1, Marshall Islands 1,Nauru 1, New Zealand 3, Papua New Guinea 1, Samoa 1, Solomon Islands 4, Tonga 2, Tuvalu 1 and Vanuatu 2.

I also thank those Full and associate Members who have already responded and encourage those members who haven't completed the survey to do so RIGHT AWAY PLEASE. Below is the survey link for your attention and necessary action:

Further to my email below, I wish to inform that the deadline for our Membership Satisfaction survey is now extended for a further 2 weeks to Friday, 24 March 2023. As of last Friday, 10 March 2023, ...

  3.  5 Associate Members out of 30 have responded

First and foremost, I thank all of you for the part you played and contributions made to ensure our 7th Pacific Regional Conference on Disability which ended last Friday, 03 March 2023 was a resounding success! Also trust your return travel home to your various destinations was a smooth one despite the adverse weather conditions experienced in Nadi last week.

As a friendly follow-up to the email below and noting that the membership survey is scheduled to close today, Friday, 10 March 2023, I write to provide an update below for your information.

  1.  A total of 13 members have completed the survey as of yesterday out of the current 70 members of PDF.
  2.  Of these 13 responses, 9 are Full Members out of a total of 40 members.
  3.  Of these 13 responses, 4 are Associate Members out of 30 members.
  4.  Responses by country are as follows: Australia 1, Cook Islands 1, Fiji 2, Kiribati 1, New Caledonia 1, Nauru 1, New Zealand 3, Solomon Islands 1, Tonga 1 and Vanuatu 1.

I encourage those who haven't responded to please complete your survey today as the results of this survey will help PDF become a more responsive organisation to its members through its governance mechanism and operation here at your Secretariat. This is of particular importance to us at your Secretariat as we are setting up our new Member Services Unit (MSU) with Ms Angeline Chand as Coordinator. I have also cc'd both Arieta and Angie from the Secretariat and Kelera from Optimise which is conducting this survey on PDF's behalf to resend the survey link if necessary.
