B. For the Board election this year (2017), being a year ending with an odd number, and to comply with the PDF Constitution and Election of Board policy, the positions of Co-Chairperson (Male) and 4 Board members will be open for election. The following Board members are currently serving on these positions and whose term ends this year.

However, Board Members Ipul Powaseu and Tewai Halatau have only completed one term and can therefore be re-elected for a second term. D. As Returning Officer, I am now calling for nominations through this email group for the following positions:
1. Male Co-Chairperson
2. 3 Board Members
Only Full Members through their voting delegates listed in paragraph A above can be nominated to any of the 4 Board positions with the exception of those currently serving on the PDF board.
E. PLEASE NOTE: Some changes have been introduced for This year's Board election as detailed below. Please read carefully before making your nomination.
1. All nominations will be made through this email group. This means that the nomination process will be done in full view of each other within the email group. Each voting Delegate will know who is being nominated and by whom, and who has seconded that nomination. This will avoid candidates being nominated more than once as in previous elections.
2. Once a nominee receives a nomination and has been seconded by another Delegate, the nominee MUST FORMALLY ACCEPT the nomination by email to this email group and attach his or her personal profile not more than 700 words to that same email.
3. Nominations will close on Friday, 09 June 2017 at 5:00pm Fiji time.
4. If necessary, voting for the vacant Board positions will start on Monday,12 June 2017 with the Returning Officer sending ballot papers by email to each voting delegate.
5. Voting will close on Friday, 30 June 2017 at 5:00pm Fiji time.
I trust the above information is clear to all of you and do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional clarification.
Sincerely
Seta
