Weather Update!

The current systems will be affecting Fiji, Samoa & Tonga.
TROPICAL CYCLONE 5 - DAY OUTLOOK
Equator to 25S and 160E to 120W
Issue Time: 0400 UTC Thursday 20th February 2025.
Next Issue: 0400 UTC Friday 21st February 2025.
Issued by: Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre, RSMC, Nadi.
Existing Tropical Cyclones:
Nil

Tropical disturbance (TD08F) was analysed to the south of Samoa near 17.3S 171.9W at 200300UTC. Position poor. It is expected to track southeast and be out of RSMC Nadi's Area of Responsibility by early Tuesday (25/02).
Another low-pressure system is anticipated to develop to the north of Fiji tomorrow and is expected to track southeast.
Likelihood of a tropical cyclone formation in the region in the next five days, till Tuesday 25th February 2025:

Friday 21st February 2025.
The potential for TD08F to develop into a Tropical Cyclone is LOW and is expected to lie in the shaded region below. The potential for the low-pressure system that is expected to develop to the north of Fiji to form into a Tropical Cyclone is VERY LOW. The potential for formation of a Tropical Cyclone from another system is VERY LOW.

Saturday 22nd February 2025.
The potential for TD08F to develop into a Tropical Cyclone is LOW TO MODERATE and is expected to lie in the shaded region below. The potential for the low-pressure system that is expected to develop to the north of Fiji to form into a Tropical Cyclone is VERY LOW. The potential for formation of a Tropical Cyclone from another system is VERY LOW.

Sunday 23rd February 2025.
The potential for TD08F to develop into a Tropical Cyclone is MODERATE and is expected to lie in the shaded region below. The potential for the low-pressure system that is expected to develop to the north of Fiji to form into a Tropical Cyclone is LOW The potential for formation of a Tropical Cyclone from another system is VERY
LOW.

Monday 24th February 2025.
The potential for TD08F to develop into a Tropical Cyclone is LOW and is expected to lie in the shaded region below. The potential for the low-pressure system that is expected to develop to the north of Fiji to form into a Tropical Cyclone is LOW and is expected to lie in the shaded region below. The potential for formation of a Tropical Cyclone from another system is VERY LOW.

Tuesday 25th February 2025.
The potential for the low-pressure system that is expected to develop to the north of Fiji to form into a Tropical Cyclone is LOW to MODERATE and is expected to lie in the shaded region below. The potential for formation of a Tropical Cyclone from another system is VERY LOW.
