Thanks for this wonderful information. Trust the group is safe. Just a
question please if anyone has or can access a self checklist for women with
disabilities and covid19. The document should contain basic information for
instance seeing the doctor what basic information should you have. If you
have difficulties speaking/seeing/hearing, what needs to happen. Happy to
discuss more but WHO has a list which we can adapt but be great if we have a
check list for persons with disabilities where we can turn into a phamphlet
and distribute to individuals

Dear Members of Women with Disabilities Task Team, 

 

In light of the cancellation of CSW, the International Disability Alliance
and European Disability Forum are hosting a Virtual Event "Promoting the
Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities in the midst of the COVID-19
crisis". This Virtual Event is a space for discussing and promoting the
rights of women and girls with disabilities in the global gender equality
agenda and in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

International Disability Alliance and European Disability Forum invite
representatives of women's rights organisations, organisations of persons
with disabilities (DPOs/OPDs), allies of the disability movement, other
stakeholders and members of the public interested in the rights of women
with disabilities.

 

The virtual event will take place on 8 April 2020, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM (NYC
time). 

 

Our panelists are women with disabilities from around the world who will
share their expertise and experience, and engage in an interactive
discussion with participants.
