opportunities. There are massive investments being carried out in establishing new institutions or improving the existing ones. People with psychosocial disabilities are segregated from the mainstream community and are sent to (often forcefully) mental asylums,
rehabilitation centers, psychiatric clinics, nursing homes and a variety of care institutions, facing long term confinement and isolation. </span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">People with psychosocial disabilities are still confined to the mental health legal systems which take away our legal capacity to explore opportunities, take risks, make
our own decisions and enjoy all fundamental human rights, on an equal basis to others. </span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

and Urgency to Deinstitutionalize"</b>. The objective of this survey is to develop a global report on the situation of persons with psychosocial disabilities in institutions and the immediate need for de-institutionalization.</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
