APRCEM is a civil society platform aimed to enable stronger cross constituency coordination and ensure that voices of all sub-regions of Asia Pacific are heard in intergovernmental processes in regional and global level. As an open, inclusive, and flexible
mechanism, APRCEM is designed to reach the broadest number of CSOs in the region, harness the voice of grassroots and peoples’ movements to advance development justice that address the inequalities of wealth, power, resources between countries, between rich
and poor and between men and women.

As part of its efforts in bringing together CSOs and grassroots representatives from the Asia Pacific region to discuss the current state-of-play among countries especially in the time of COVID-19, APRCEM is organizing "Asia Pacific People’s Forum
2020: Solidarity and System Change are the Only Antidotes to COVID-19" this coming
Nov. 26-30, 2020. It aims to foster sharing among constituencies and countries about their situations amidst the pandemic, reaffirm our commitment to upholding development justice, and unite on our position as CSOs and people’s organizations that we
are equal development actors as governments and demand accountability from them with their response to the global health pandemic.
