The Spotlight Initiative is a new</span><span lang="EN-NZ" style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#333333">, global, multi-year initiative of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) focused on eliminating all forms of violence
against women and girls (VAWG). An initial investment in the order of EUR 500 million will be made, with the EU as the main contributor. </span><span lang="EN-NZ"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

CS-GRG. Key criteria for membership include significant experience and expertise in eliminating violence against women and girls, and in women’s rights and gender equality and human rights more broadly, as well as meaningful representation of intersectionality
and diversity of communities/constituencies.</span><span lang="EN-NZ"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

convocatoria de nominaciones para el Grupo de Referencia Mundial de la Sociedad Civil sobre la Iniciativa.

<p style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black">El Comité de Selección mantuvo su primera reunión el 2 de octubre de 2018 y acordó los criterios, el proceso y el calendario para la constitución
de este Grupo de Referencia Mundial de la Sociedad Civil. Los criterios clave para formar parte de dicho grupo incluyen una amplia experiencia y profundos conocimientos especializados en la eliminación de la violencia contra las mujeres y las niñas, y, en
general, sobre los derechos de las mujeres, la igualdad de género y los derechos humanos, así como una representación significativa de la interseccionalidad y diversidad de las comunidades o circunscripciones.</span><span lang="EN-NZ"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black">El CS-GRG es el principal mecanismo institucional del que se ha dotado la Iniciativa Spotlight a escala mundial con el fin de aprovechar
los conocimientos que atesora la sociedad civil. Se compone de unas 15 personas expertas con prestigio mundial, que tienen una doble responsabilidad: por un lado, asesorar a la Iniciativa; y, por otro, colaborar con ella y abogar por que logre sus objetivos.</span><span lang="EN-NZ"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
