Hi Everyone in the PDF family

On behalf of all of us at FPDN I want to acknowledge the recent passing of
Angeline Chand.  We honour Angeline as a leader of the movement throughout
the Pacific, her warmth, her humility and her powerful presence.

Over the past 20 years or more too many of our leaders have moved on, it is
our job to honour their legacies and to always remember the way in which
they led us.

As for what has been happening at FPDN, in recent years we have undergone
significant growth as an organisation, this is a very positive development
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disabilities.  Now
that we have consolidated our growth I hope to be able to get more invovled
again in the work of PDF.  It is a source of great pride to all of us at
FPDN, to see the great work of PDF over many years.  It is also humbling to
reflect personally on how far things have come since that very first
meeting in Nadi back in 2002.

I also wanted to provide a further update and let the PDF family know that
June Riemer is no longer employed at FPDN, she is enjoying her well earned
retirement.

I am looking forward to crossing paths with members of the PDF family again
soon.
