Sharing the compliments and congratulatory remarks from those of you who have responded to the email below regarding the appointment of Ms. Sainimili Tawake as the new CEO for PDF. Very pleased indeed with the outcome of the Board's recruitment for my replacement even though I wasn't directly involved. Sai had been with the late Frederick Miller, late Sam Vilisoni, Michael Filipo and I when we began that historic journey of building and growing the disability movement here in the Pacific in the 1990s through the Fiji Disabled People's Association, Disabled People's International (DPI), then DPI Oceania Subregion in 2000 where a very young and energetic Sai served as our Project Officer, then Oceania Disability Advisory Support Committee (ODASC) and WWD Pasifika Network, then eventually Pacific Disability forum birthed in 2002 and formalised in 2004. As founding CEO and served for 17 and half years from January 2007 to June 2017, I'm Truly blessed, honoured, gracious and thankful to be passing the baton on to Ms. Sainimili Tawake! Go forth and serve PDF Sai, and with all my blessings and God's favour, protection and guidance!
