Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to add my thanks and best wishes to Seta, and acknowledge all that he has done over so many years for PDF. Since I first was associated with PDF, at PWDA in 2008, it has always been Seta at the helm, so this change of leadership deserves to be marked. It was flagged at the conference in Nadi last year, so not unexpected, but nonetheless a very significant shift.

Seta has been pivotal to the successful development and strengthening of PDF as the voice of people with disability in the Pacific, and amplifying that voice across the world. He has also helped establish a strong and well-functioning secretariat which overcomes logistical challenges to keep our region connected, and this will now continue to serve the OPDs and people with disability generally after Seta embarks on his well-earned retirement. And I know that we are all confident in the leadership team that has been in operation for some years now, and the dedication and ability of the PDF Board - we are in good hands.

All the best, Seta, and enjoy some time focusing on yourself and family, although I know you will always remain engaged in the struggles for rights and recognition that continue for the people you have represented for so many years.

Warm Pacific greetings to our PDF Members, Partners and Donors, Friends and Colleagues,



The PDF Board wishes to inform that our Chief Executive Officer, Setareki Seru Macanawai, will finish his contract on 30 June 2024. The Board has formally accepted CEO Seta's letter of resignation as notice.



The Board wishes to sincerely thank and acknowledge with gratitude the significant achievements and contribution that Seta has made since commencing in this role in 2007, as the first CEO for PDF. It is clear for all to see that PDF has grown and developed as a credible regional peak body under his sterling leadership.



We also advise that an advertisement will be posted shortly and encourage you all to share widely.



In wishing Seta all the very best for his future, the Board appreciates Seta's involvement in working with us to find our next CEO to lead PDF onwards.
