[PDFlist] Safeguard Policy Review and Update: Consultations on Climate Change (Revised Draft Summary Available)

As part of Phase 2 of the Safeguard Policy Statement (SPS) Review and Update, ADB is conducting regional stakeholder consultations based on key analytical studies.  



Part of the review process is a series of consultations on Climate change. ADB’s Strategy 2030 Operational Plan 31 sets the course for responding to the region’s changing needs. Recently, ADB management determined Climate Change as a high priority area, and has committed to fully aligning all ADB operations with the Paris Agreement. The consultations will cover a review of ADB’s approach to manage project-level climate change risks, based on the practice and experience of other multilateral financial institutions, and on feedback from stakeholders on policy interpretation and implementation.



The consultations on Climate Change, are scheduled for 17th, and 19th/20th May 2022. To join, please register for your corresponding region and stakeholder group via Zoom:
