[PDFlist] Festive Season blessing from the Pacific Disability Forum

Dear Members and extended family of PDF,

Thank you for your continuous support as we collectively work towards disability inclusion in the Region.

As we head towards the end of an eventful year, we can’t help but look back to acknowledge and celebrate our collective achievements, as well as recognize and work towards addressing the challenges come the new year.

The ever-changing global scenery and the challenges it has brought along such as the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the ensuing restrictions have had a major impact on the lives of persons with disabilities as well as the way of doing business on a daily aspect.

Amongst these challenges, the continued support of our stakeholders, partners as well as donors has pushed the Pacific Disability Forum and its Secretariat to continuously strive for the equitable participation of persons with disabilities at the “Table”. This has become a beacon of hope for many in the Pacific as we work towards an Inclusive and Resilient Pacific for All Persons with Disabilities.

In the Spirit of Christmas, the Pacific Disability Forum would like to wish each one of us a very Happy festive season. We call on each one of us to ensure that this Festive Season, we strive towards that vision of an inclusive, accessible, and equitable Pacific for all..

Chers membres et famille élargie de PDF,

Merci pour votre soutien continu alors que nous travaillons collectivement à l'inclusion des personnes handicapées dans la Région.

Alors que nous nous dirigeons vers la fin d'une année mouvementée, nous ne pouvons pas nous empêcher de regarder en arrière pour reconnaître et célébrer nos réalisations collectives, reconnaître et travailler pour relever les défis de la nouvelle année.

Le paysage mondial en constante évolution et les défis qu'il a entraînés tels que la pandémie de COVID-19 ainsi que les restrictions qui en découlent ont eu un impact majeur sur la vie des personnes handicapées ainsi que sur la façon de faire des affaires au quotidien. .

Parmi ces défis, le soutien continu de nos parties prenantes, partenaires ainsi que des donateurs a poussé le Pacific Disability Forum et son Secrétariat à faire pression en permanence pour la participation équitable des personnes handicapées à la « Table ». Cela est devenu une lueur d'espoir pour de nombreuses personnes dans le Pacifique alors que nous travaillons à un Pacifique inclusif et résilient pour toutes les personnes handicapées.

Dans l'esprit de Noël, le Pacific Disability Forum souhaite à chacun d'entre nous de très joyeuses fêtes de fin d'année. Nous appelons chacun d'entre nous à veiller à ce que cette saison festive, nous nous efforçons d'atteindre cette vision d'un Pacifique inclusif, accessible et équitable, ne soit pas oubliée.
