Subject: [crpd-forum] COSP14 Updates

Dear Colleagues,
Apologies for the double post, the attachment for screen readers’ nomination form did not make it through the first time.

Original email below:

Dear Colleagues,

CoSP14 is right around the corner, and we are pleased to share the latest updates to support the broadest participation possible.

As a reminder, CoSP14 is taking place from 15-17 June 2021, and the overarching them and sub-themes are as follows:

Overarching theme: Building back better: COVID-19 response and recovery; Meeting the needs, Realizing the rights and Addressing the socio-economic impacts on persons with disabilities.

  * Sub theme 1: Protecting the rights of persons with disabilities in armed conflict and humanitarian emergencies.
  * Sub theme 2: Living Independently, being included in the community.
  * Sub theme 3: Right to education; challenges with inclusive education and accessibility during COVID-19

Time Sensitive Update:

3-min Roundtable Interventions

We are accepting nominations for 2-3 minute civil society interventions at the COSP roundtables. This allows civil society to ask questions of the roundtable panelists. The Civil Society Coordination mechanism will review nominations, and nominate speakers for two interventions and an alternate for each roundtable.

Please submit your nominations by Monday 17 May, using this form: Roundtable Intervention Nomination<https://forms.gle/V79XbswCoNgzvKHQ9>. There is also an attached Word document format for screen readers.
