The Future Disability Strategy - Make your voice heard (Conference Feb 26 )

Dear all,

It has been confirmed! The European Commission of the European Union intends to create a Strategy on disability for 2021 onwards.

Now the real work begins. The European Disability Forum is calling for the EU to adopt a European Disability Rights Agenda to replace the current EU Disability Strategy. We need a strong Agenda that is more ambitious that its predecessor and sets out clear targets and a budget for implementation.

But what exactly should the new Disability Rights Agenda look like? We are inviting you to join the European Economic and Social Committee for their high-level conference on the 26th of February in Brussels exploring what we want to see from the new Strategy, or “Disability Rights Agenda”.

It is a perfect opportunity to hear what plans lie ahead for its creation and to add your voice to the discussion at this crucial moment.
