[PDFlist] Fiji Emergency Medical Assistance Team (FEMAT) - Verified Type 1 Fixed

I am very pleased to share the news that the Fiji Emergency Medical Assistance Team (FEMAT) has been verified as a Type 1 Fixed Emergency Medical Team (EMT), ready to deploy nationally and within the Pacific in response to natural disasters and other emergencies. Fiji's Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainaimarama and Minister of Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete were on hand for the formal announcement on Saturday, 11 May, following a two-day process with support from an international verification team with representatives from Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Tonga and Vanuatu, as well as colleagues from the World Health Organization.
