Background

Ahead of the regional and global 25-year reviews of the Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA), the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development<http://apwld.org/> (APWLD), in cooperation with the Asia Pacific Women With Disabilities United (APWWDU), plans to host a webinar on the inter-linkages between the rights of women with disabilities and the provisions of the BPfA. This webinar is designed to be introductory, building an understanding around the BPfA and giving information on how civil society, particularly women with disabilities can engage.



Following this webinar, participants will be asked to circulate and complete a survey<https://forms.gle/PMrPEYv5B5x89cLD6> on this topic. The inputs to this survey will be included in the regional civil society submission that APWLD is preparing on the Beijing Plus 25 review, and any significant case studies or reports may help us prepare a separate report in the near future on the state of women with disabilities rights in the region.
