[Call for Applications    The International Programme is a small grants programme funded by the British High Commission Suva, which opens for the first round of applications on 29 April 2019    Who can apply?  Non-governmental organisations, community groups, government departments and other development organisations working in Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Republic of Marshall Islands, Tonga and Tuvalu    How much can I apply for?   FJ$5,000- FJ$27,000     What type of activities are eligible?  The International Programme is seeking proposals under the core thematic areas;  - Gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls  - Reduction of ocean plastics and the elimination of single-use plastics   - Democracy, governance and human rights, specifically supporting and strengthening the Rules Based International System and the implementation of international human rights treaties  The International Programme is designed to be a flexible fund and the British High Commission Suva is seeking innovative project ideas. Examples of previous successful projects include; funding capacity building activities including workshops and vocational training courses, funding attendance at key international conferences, minor infrastructure work, and projects targeting women and youth economic empowerment.    Please note that all project activity must be complete by March 2020    How to apply?  To apply please produce a brief project concept note (one page maximum) providing an overview of the project, including what the project will achieve and how. Concept notes should be submitted to Talei.Lange at fco.gov.uk no later than 13 May 2019. Please note that only successful applications will be contacted and requested to submit a project proposal during a second round of applications.
