Subject: Thank you!
Dear Seta, Joaozito, Aleisha, and all friends from the Pacific,
We are writing in the euphoria of our recent Bali plenary meeting. We are very grateful for your support, facilitation and active participation from the AP region, into our plenary.
The video kindly shared by Vladimir Cuk was key message, and was very well received, inspiring all of us; and infact, setting a higher goal for us towards better preparation and our participation in regional and global events of the future.
Just to give you a quick roundup of our outcomes,
Through a voting procedure,
- We rechristened ourselves "TCI Asia Pacific".
- We adopted the new countries, adding upto 21 now.
- In response to various processes, mostly medical psychiatric, increasing the "global burden of barriers" for us in the Asia Pacific region; and in response to the impending Global Mental Health Summit, we issued a "Bali Declaration", which we will circulate very soon.
- We confirmed us to register as "TCI Asia Pacific"
Importantly, we committed to building a collective through continuing communication and feedback mechanism with the membership, to inculcate the values of transparency and accountability. In present times.
For the first time, the highest number of cross disability national leaders and support agencies participated from various countries, making separate sub regional commitments to strategies for inclusion within the national cross disability movements, and actions thereof.
We were also very happy with the considerable participation of Pacific region, and we thank you so much for the support and efforts to make this happen. We thank especially, Angie, Jillian, Silvia, for being with us during the days; and supporting all our friends from FPSA, DPTL, and others.
We request you to kindly support those kinds of inclusion strategies and partnerships within all your partners in the Pacific and Oceania regions, thank you.
Herewith, a couple of photographs! Do not miss the formidable logistics team photo, which made everything possible.
We thank you for beginnings of support to TCI Asia Pacific, and most definitely look forward to future co-operations, thank you so much,
Warmest regards,
Bhargavi
