United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia Job Opening

ESCWA is looking to hire a short term Regional Advisor (P4 level) on disability, to be based in Beirut, Lebanon. The post duration is five months with a possibility of extension, subject to available funding. The position is located in the Inclusive Social Development Section (ISDS) in the Social Development Division (SDD) of ESCWA. The Regional Advisor will report directly to the Chief of ISDS, under the overall direction and guidance of the Director of SDD. The candidate should have substantial work experience and expertise in the area of disability policy, including mastery of technical details. Travel around the MENA region will be required. The closing date for applications is 6 April. The position requires Arabic but qualified English and French speakers should feel encouraged to apply.
