Greetings from Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities/RI Korea!

First of all, we would like to send our deep appreciation for your continuous effort and attention to make our society more inclusive and to advance the rights of persons with disabilities.

We are glad to invite you again in 2017 to the ‘Global Challenge of Youth with Disabilities’ which began with an aim of enabling young professionals with disabilities to build their capacity to become international leaders.


Brief information is as below.
A. Outline of the Korea Team

• Period: 13 days 12 nights, July 2nd (Sun)~ 14th (Fri), 2017
• Theme: Creating the World Together
• Participants:
 -  10 young professionals with disabilities from 10 countries in Asia-Pacific
 -  7 Korean youths with disabilities or without disabilities, 2 coordinators
• Program includes,
  - Orientation
  - Visit KSRPD, Korea Disabled people's Development Institute(KODDI), Korean Employment Agency for the Disabled(KEAD), NAVER inc etc.
  - Seminar at the Korean National Assembly on Disability and International Development
  - Conference of Youth with Disabilities on Life with a disability and vision
  - Cultural Exchange
  - 3 days long Dreamteam camp

B. Information for the applicants

• Requirements:
  - Youths with disabilities in Asia-Pacific (Age: 18~34)
  - Disability-related field work experience
  - International Development-related work experience
  - To be able to commit oneself to a full-time program 2 weeks away from home
  - Competent in English (To be able to make a presentation in English)

• Support: All expenses associated with the participation in the program, including round-trip air ticket, hotel accommodation, meals and local transportation services will be borne by KSRPD

• Required Document for Submission
  - Application Form (Filled out)
  - Two Manuscripts written according to the theme 1, 2
    *Please refer to the page #5~6 "Instructions for the applicants' works"
  - Certificates (Employment, Students status): Reference can also be submitted
  - Reference from work or school (university)
  - Questionnaire for the places to visit


 You may find more detailed information in the official documents attached. For those who are interested in participating in our Program, send us the application with the manuscripts for the presentation which you will have along with other required documents by April 12th, 2017.
