Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that a successful 2017 HLPF concluded yesterday. With a record number of persons with disabilities participating this year, participants gave a large number of interventions, and most of the voluntary national reviews presented by Ministers have referenced persons with disabilities in their respective national contexts.

We would like to galvanize and build on this global momentum within your national advocacy strategy. If you are from one of the 44 countries that have reported, we strongly recommend that you watch the national presentations linked below. Each video has captioning and International Sign.

1.      Disseminate this information widely with all the DPOs and partners in your country
2.      Reach out to the Minister who presented during your country’s review.
3.      Refer to your country’s presentation the next time you meet your government.
4.      Whether addressed or not, suggest collaboration and partnership with your government in regards to persons with disabilities at the national level.
