International Day of Deafblind People!



June, 27th, 2017.



“I dream that one day deafblind people will wake up to regain their power over everything which  belongs to them by right.”



I, Alex Garcia, woke upto those things some years ago and I consider myself one of the most developed deafblind persons in the worl. However, I am excluded in Brazil because I question the power relations, I question subalternity and the extreme inequality in which we have lived.  I’ll never accept all of these things!



Power has always been and will always be in the hands of people who call themselves “normal people”, the so called professionals.



What is to be normal? If we ask those who live with those persons if they consider them 'normal', what would be the answer? And, even more serious, if there are 'normal' people it means that in contrast and by a principle of duality there would be 'abnormal' people. It’s totally unacceptable, that's why I'll never shut up.



Many deafblind persons. Spend their lives exchanging favors with those “professionals”. Thus, all constellation is subdued and slavery persists.



Agatha Christie once said: “When truth is evident, facts speak for themselves.”
