Dear Colleagues, Partners and Friends of PDF,

I am pleased to share that following a thorough and competitive recruitment process, Ms. Violet Savu has been appointed as the Director Operations for the Pacific Disability Forum, effective 20 February 2026.

Violet is already a familiar face to many within the PDF community. She has been serving as our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer since 2021, where she has played a key role in strengthening our reporting systems, supporting strategic planning processes, and providing technical guidance to OPDs across the Pacific. Her work has contributed significantly to strengthening project management, governance practices, and learning systems within PDF and among our member organizations.

With over two decades of professional experience across the NGO sector in Fiji and the wider Pacific, Violet brings deep expertise in monitoring and evaluation, finance and administration, and organizational development.

Violet holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific and has remained actively involved in civil society through governance and community service roles.

We are confident that Violet’s leadership, experience, and consistent engagement with the disability movement in the Pacific will be a valuable asset as PDF moves forward, particularly as we begin implementing our new strategic direction.

Please join me in warmly welcoming Violet in her new role. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with you all as we work together to advance the equitable rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities in our region and beyond.

Kind Regards,
