Please find attached an opportunity from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) training programme for women living or from the Pacific region titled UNITAR Women’s Leadership: A Tsunami-based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Programme for World Tsunami Awareness Day 2021.
The training course is designed to promote women leadership and empowerment through UNITAR certification towards Disaster Risk Reduction inclusive planning that is contextualized towards their society needs.

Deadline for applications is set on August 20th and the course will commence on September 1st and is expected to finish on December 8.

There are only 100 spots available and women from around the world can also apply although it is catered towards the Pacific region.
The course is supported with funding from the Government and the People of Japan, and this is its sixth year running. More information can be found in the flyer attached.
