Women PeaceMakers Program 2019/2020 - Call for Applications
Deadline April 22, 2019

2019/2020 Fellowship Focus: Strengthening Funding Partnerships Between Local Women Peacebuilders and International Funders
The Women PeaceMakers Program (WPM) offers a unique opportunity for women building peace to engage in a cycle of learning, practice and strengthening of peacebuilding partnerships through participation in a 12-month Fellowship. Knowing the power of women's participation in peace and security decision-making to building more durable peace, the WPM Fellowship aims to drive forward stronger, more effective collaborations between women peacebuilders from conflict-affected communities and their international partners.
The WPM program is based at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) at the University of San Diego's Kroc School of Peace Studies. To learn more about the history of the WPM program, please visit: http://peace.sandiego.edu/wpm<https://www.google.com/url?q=http://peace.sandiego.edu/wpm&sa=D&ust=1553461648927000&usg=AFQjCNHdwZzM-yoI92_WefOSrmyOSS9HxQ> 2
Four Women PeaceMakers and four individuals, who represent international non-governmental organizations, will be selected as a cohort to build mutual learning and stronger partnerships between women peacebuilders and international organizations who are working to end cycles of violence.
During the 12-month Fellowship, the program will focus on Pillar II of the Kroc IPJ's Peace Partnership Compact: Equitable Funding Partnerships, to strengthen and build more effective partnerships between local and global peacebuilders. This Fellowship will include the following four streams of work:
I.) Residency
II.) Learning Lab
III.) Local - Global Peacebuilding Partnership Change Project
Throughout all four streams of work a Peace Researcher will be learning from and with WPM, and documenting these key insights to inform a larger-scale change process. This process is focused on building more equitable funding partnerships between local WPMs and international peacebuilding funders.
Below maps out each of the above in more detail, including dates, location and what stream of work the WPM will be included in. Please note, our expectations of the selected WPM is that she actively participates in all of the WPM activities during the Fellowship.
