Good afternoon,



The High Commission of Canada in Canberra, Australia is pleased to release
a call for project proposals for the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives
(CFLI).



*The CFLI supports small-scale local development activities in: Marshall
Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and
Vanuatu. **Project funding is typically between CAD $5,000 - $30,000, but
can go as high as CAD $50,000. Funding will likely be disbursed in June
2018, and all project activities must be completed by 28 February, 2020. *



This year the CFLI is focusing on projects that fall under the themes
of: *gender
equality*, *inclusive governance *and *environment and climate action*, but
will also consider projects addressing *human dignity *(including health,
education and nutrition), *peace and security* and *growth that works for
everyone*.  The majority of CFLI funding is directed toward local civil
society organizations (including non-governmental organizations) and other
institutions working at the local level.



In order to apply, please complete the attached project application form as
well as the project budget and submit to this email address by *22 April,
2019. *Applicants must complete the entire submission to be eligible for
funding.

diffuser un appel de propositions de projets pour le Fonds canadien pour
les initiatives locales (FCIL).



Le FCIL soutient des activités de développement locales et à petite
échelle: aux Îles Marshall, en Micronésie, à Nauru, aux Palaos, en
Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée, aux Îles Salomon et au Vanuatu. Le financement
d’un projet varie généralement entre CAD $5 000 et $30 000 mais peut
parfois s’élever jusqu’à CAD $50 000.  Les fonds seront probablement
décaissés en juin 2019 et toutes les activités des projets doivent être
terminées d’ici le 28 février 2020.



Cette année, le FCIL se concentre sur les projets qui relèvent des
thématiques suivantes : *égalité des genres*, *gouvernance inclusive*
et *action
environnementale et climatique*, mais envisagera également des projets
traitant de la *dignité humaine* (y compris la santé, l’éducation et la
nutrition), de la * paix et* de la *sécurité* et d’une *croissance qui
bénéficie à tous*. Les fonds du FCIL vont majoritairement à des
organisations locales de la société civile (y compris les organisations non
gouvernementales) et aux autres institutions qui travaillent à l’échelon
local.



Pour déposer votre candidature, veuillez compléter le formulaire de
candidature qui figure en annexe assorti du budget de votre projet et les
expédier à cette adresse email d’ici le *22 avril 2019*.  Pour être
admissibles à un quelconque financement, les formulaires de candidature
doivent être intégralement complétés.
