Subject: [pacwin] Australia's aid policy review - calling for opinions
To: Pacific Women's Information Network <pacwin at lyris.spc.int<mailto:pacwin at lyris.spc.int>>
Good morning.
Please excuse this email coming from my personal email account, I am posting this on behalf of the International Women's Development Agency (IWDA).
As many of you will know, the Australian Government has recently announced a review of its aid policy framework. This is the overall framework which guides decisions about the priorities within Australia's aid program.
As part of this review, IWDA will be making a submission to the consultation process, in which we will make recommendations about the priorities of the Australian aid program.
To inform our submission, we want to hear from women across the Asia and Pacific region.
We think it's important that the review hears the voices of our partners, and other women from the Asia and Pacific region who may be impacted by the priorities of the Australian aid program. We have created a short (5-10 minutes) survey to collect your views. If you would like to inform IWDA's submission, please complete the survey. We would also appreciate if you can share the below survey link with your networks, friends and colleagues-we want to include as many voices as possible!
Click here to complete the survey before 17 January: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8DCLGVD
If you have any questions, please contact Alice Ridge at IWDA (aridge at iwda.org.au). If you want to know more about the consultation process or make your own submission to the Australian Government, you can find out more here (https://dfat.gov.au/aid/new-international-development-policy/Pages/default.aspx)<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fdfat.gov.au%2faid%2fnew-international-development-policy%2fPages%2fdefault.aspx%29&c=E,1,UoVBegCLnpWXI-nz76jCBArBYGi0e-ndfI1O83rzzglXZgCsJKnGqNzgRySLOEHBjZXCAlsJ2lB_6riyhInaY5gZlZfUhzH_9T80YVQ1GT4M9mHuM_AuuGg,&typo=1>, and you can read the current framework here (https://dfat.gov.au/about-us/publications/Pages/australian-aid-promoting-prosperity-reducing-poverty-enhancing-stability.aspx<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fdfat.gov.au%2fabout-us%2fpublications%2fPages%2faustralian-aid-promoting-prosperity-reducing-poverty-enhancing-stability.aspx&c=E,1,_ynrsHBJNpCxkBIKR8pLKfgleqMRu3mEuwaZhC5Itl8ElQyjwg0WrPkzl-RrSdDTmUn9mh8m3btShO2cyzZQxwzao7nz0p48yPFBxS3xKZNuJoV8lZ7hMiY,&typo=1>).
We appreciate that this time of year is not great for a survey, but also don't want to miss the opportunity to include opinions and priorities from across the region.
Kind regards, and I wish everyone a safe and restful holiday period.
Emily
