UN Women is in the process of developing a strategy to better support women human rights defenders and is currently engaging with civil society to seek perspectives on the challenges faced by women human rights defenders. This strategy will guide UN Women offices as they implement UN Women’s normative, programmatic and coordination mandates. The strategy will draw from and feed into the UN system’s work on support to human rights defenders.
