Greetings from Disability, Equity, Justice Working Group Civil 20 India!
 
We as Rising Flame are the coordinator for the Disability, Equity, Justice working group, Civil 20 India, and we are inviting persons with disabilities, OPDS, CSOs, individual activists and change makers working on disability rights to our upcoming policy consultations on 
    
   - Women with disabilities, May 9, 2023 Ahmedabad + virtual
   - Employment and Disability. May 11, 2023  Goa + Virtual
 
Civil 20 is an official engagement group of the G20 processes and in a historic move, India Civil 20 has created a stand alone Disability, Equity, Justice working group. This working group aims at developing recommendations with relevance across disabilities to advance disability equity and inclusion through inclusive and accessible planning, implementation, and systems change.
 
As part of this effort, we are organising two more thematic policy consultations with participants from across India and the globe. We invite you to join us in these discussions to exchange ideas and identify ways to create accessible channels for sharing policy recommendations to be incorporated within our policy brief. We are also open to receiving your success stories in areas of your expertise.

Rising Flame in collaboration with US Consulate Mumbai, Blind People's Association and Mariwala Health Initiative is organising a policy consultation on “Women With Disabilities” in Ahmedabad. We believe it is essential to have an open discussion on how we can promote inclusive growth and reduce inequalities for women and girls with disabilities with focus on their employment, healthcare and experiences of violence in this consultation.

The Office of the State Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities, Goa in collaboration with US Consulate Mumbai, Mariwala Health Initiative and Rising Flame are writing to invite you to attend a policy consultation on ‘Employment and Disability’. Through this day-long policy consultation we invite various stakeholders to come together and discuss topics such as employment, livelihood and inclusion, the Entrepreneurship and future of work and finally, understanding workspace health and safety.

The consultations are in hybrid mode with participants from across the globe joining online and a limited number of persons joining in-person.
