Greetings Full Members of the Pacific Disability Forum (PDF)

Warm Pacific greetings to each one of you. We have come to the time of the year when your organisation as a Full Member of PDF through your appointed/elected representative to the PDF General Forum (refer to Clause 8.3 of the PDF Constitution) will need to undertake your constitutional function of electing the Board Members of PDF (refer to Clause 10.2 of the PDF Constitution). Since this year, 2019 is a year ending with an odd number, the election will be for the positions of Co-Chairperson (male) and four Board members in accordance with Clause 10.3 of the PDF Constitution. The PDF Board will be discussing  and adopting the Election of Board Policy and Procedure with key dates, election activities and scrutineer among others at their Board Meeting to be held later this month.

In preparations for this year’s PDF Board election, I invite the Full Members of PDF that are listed belowto confirm by return email no later than 5:00pm Fiji time on Friday, 17 May 2019 if your representative to the 2019 PDF General Forum held in Nadi, Fiji on 25February 2019 will be your voting delegate for this year’s Board election as well? I ask this question because some of you may have decidedafter the General Forum in Nadi, Fiji to appoint a different representative to the PDF General Forum, and it will be this representative that will beyour voting delegate and involved in the election of the PDF Board in 2019. When each Full Member is confirming the name of your voting delegate, I also request if his/her email address, telephone and fax numbers can beincluded as well? I will then update your voting delegate on relevantinformation regarding the 2019 Board Election.
