Subject: Triumph Uganda launches SRHR program for young women with disabilities

Dear DRF and DRAF Board and Grantmaking Committee members and staff –

I am sending along a link to a recent TV clip from Uganda about a SRHR program for young women with psychosocial disabilities that our grantee, Triumph Uganda, is running. In the video, you can see our Program Manager for Uganda, Esther Kyozira, speaking about the importance of giving a voice to people with psychosocial disabilities. You can also hear from the director of Triumph, Robinah Alambuya, and see a number of the girls who are part of the program. A number of these girls were trained at the East African Girls Leadership Summit run by the Creative Action Institute, with funding from one of our small – but important! – family funders, the Estelle Friedman Gervis Foundation. Thank you, Barbara Gervis!
