Re: Subject: Announcement: Pacific Disability Dialogue - October

20-24, 2025.

 

Ni sa bula and warm Pacific greetings to you all.

 

The Pacific Disability Forum is pleased to announce that our general forum
will take place from October 20-24, 2025, under the Tittle: Pacific
Disability Dialogue.

 

This important regional gathering aims to bring together representatives
from approximately 50 Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs)
across the Pacific to Nadi, Fiji. The Dialogue will focus on:

 

Shaping the PDF Strategy 2026-2030 and Providing input to the Pacific
Regional Framework on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, currently
under review by the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.

 

The program will also include a two-day Partner and Donor Dialogue,
fostering shared understanding and alignment among OPDs, development
partners, and donors. In addition, one day during the week will be dedicated
to internal PDF affairs, which will serve as the general forum itself.

 

This session will allow member OPDs to engage in governance

matters, updates, and strategic discussions specific to PDF.

Please also be informed that the 8th Pacific Regional Conference on
Disability (PRCD) has been rescheduled to 2026. Confirmed

dates will be announced in due course.

 

We look forward to your participation in this inclusive and strategic
dialogue for advancing the rights and priorities of persons with

disabilities in the Pacific.
