Subject: 2020 PDF Board Election
Importance: High

Greetings Full Members of the Pacific Disability Forum (PDF)

Warm Pacific greetings to each one of you. We have come to the time of the
year when your organisation as a Full Member of PDF through your
appointed/elected representative to the PDF General Forum (refer to Clause
8.3 of the PDF Constitution) will need to undertake your constitutional
function of electing the Board Members of PDF (refer to Clause 10.2 of the
PDF Constitution). Since this year, 2020 is a year ending with an even
number, the election will be for the positions of Co-Chairperson (female)
and three Board members in accordance with Clause 10.3 of the PDF
Constitution. The PDF Board has adopted the Election of Board Policy and
Procedure with key dates, election activities and scrutineer among others at
their Board Meeting held on 01 February 2020.

In preparations for this year's PDF Board election, I invite the Full
Members of PDF that are listed below to confirm by return email no later
than 5:00pm Fiji time on Thursday, 30 April 2020 if your representative to
the 2019 PDF General Forum held in Nadi, Fiji on 25 February 2019 will be
your voting delegate for this year's Board election as well? I ask this
question because some of you may have decided after the General Forum in
Nadi, Fiji to appoint a different representative to the PDF General Forum,
and it will be this representative that will be your voting delegate and
involved in the election of the PDF Board in 2020. When each Full Member is
confirming the name of your voting delegate, I also request if his/her email
address, telephone and fax numbers can be included as well? I will then
update your voting delegate on relevant information regarding the 2020 Board
Election.
