> Warm Pacific greetings to each one of you. We have come to the time of the year when your organisation as a Full Member of PDF through your appointed/elected representative to the PDF General Forum (refer to Clause 8.3 of the PDF Constitution) will need to undertake your constitutional function of electing the Board Members of PDF (refer to Clause 10.2 of the PDF Constitution). Since this year, 2018 is a year ending with an even number (8), the election will be for the positions of Co-Chairperson (female) and three Board members in accordance with Clause 10.3 of the PDF Constitution. The PDF Board will be discussing and adopting the Election of Board Policy and Procedure with key dates, election activities and scrutineer among others at their Board Meeting to be held on Thursday next week, 10 May 2018.
>
> In preparations for this year’s PDF Board election, I invite the financial Full Members of PDF that are listed below to confirm by return email no later than 5:00pm Fiji time on Friday, 18 May 2018 if your representative to the 2017 PDF General Forum held in Apia, Samoa on 24 February 2017 will be your voting delegate for this year’s Board election as well? I ask this question because some of you may have decided after the General Forum in Samoa to appoint a different representative to the PDF General Forum, and it will be this representative that will be your voting delegate and involved in the election of the PDF Board in 2018. When each Full Member is confirming the name of your voting delegate, I also request if his/her email address, telephone and fax numbers can be included as well? I will then update your voting delegate on relevant information regarding the 2018 Board Election.
